Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association

Due to the provision of free medical clinics at the Lumbini International Buddhist Association, Tzu Chi volunteers invited students from Khudabagar College to serve as translators and other volunteer roles. An initial group of 30 students became the first batch of Tzu Chi collegiate youth volunteers. Subsequently, Tzu Chi organized a series of activities including college tea parties, Tzu Ching (Tzu Chi youth) gatherings, street cleaning campaigns, online study sessions on the “Sutra of Infinite Meanings”, home health screenings, and visits to charity cases. Through these activities, participants learned the humanistic spirit of Tzu Chi and experienced the joy of helping others.

After a period of cultivation, the Lumbini "Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association" was formed on May 1, 2023, with 19 certified Tzu Ching members. The goal of Tzu Ching is to instill compassionate spirit and inspiring wisdom in Tzu Ching.  It encourages local tertiary students to serve as volunteers during their space time, to cultivate a compassionate heart, and gaining greater insights into life in the process.
