Many local residents have limited understanding of the government's healthcare system, and they only seek medical help as a last resort. Unfortunately, by the time they seek treatment, it is often too late, leading to lifelong disabilities or even death. For the elderly, accessing medical care can be challenging due to the distance to healthcare facilities, making regular check-ups or follow-up visits inconvenient.

To strengthen health awareness among the public, Tzu Chi volunteers and healthcare teams visit schools and communities, providing basic health screening services such as blood pressure and blood sugar tests. Healthcare professionals address people's questions directly, guiding them to pay attention to their own health.
