Zero Dropout and Dropout student scholarship program

Nepal has implemented a ten-year free education system; however, only one in three individuals are able to complete twelve years of education, finishing high school. The general population is predominantly impoverished, leading to a relatively high dropout rate.

Tzu Chi aims to reclaim dropout children and bring them back to school. To reshape these children's futures, Tzu Chi volunteers visit schools, gain the approval of school principals, obtain lists of dropout students, and then visit rural areas. They counsel parents to encourage their children to return to school, ensuring that every child with the aspiration for education can continue to pursue their dreams.
