Returning to the Buddha’s homeland

Here we are - Tzu Chi Nepal

Tzu Chi is an international humanitarian organization that transcends races and religions, embodying the compassionate spirit of Buddhism in action. Our presence extends to 133 countries and regions worldwide. We support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, with focus to alleviate sufferings and provide material and emotional support to those in need.

Transforming the future of the people in Buddha’s homeland

Great Love brings us together in Nepal. Upholding the Buddhist spirit of 'compassion and altruism', Tzu Chi set foot on this land in 1993 in a flood relief effort. With the blessings and love from Tzu Chi volunteers worldwide, we hope to transform the future of the people in the Buddha’s homeland.

Giving with our own hands

With our personal involvements within the communities in Nepal, discovering the vulnerable, the sick and lonely elders hidden in the dark corners, we initiate charitable, medical, and educational projects. Witnessing the restoration of smiles on the faces of the villagers in the communities, we also observe the vitality of community support here.

Doing good cannot go without you

While the contribution of one person may be small, when it gathers, it can bring life transformation to those in unfortunate situations. Whether through financial support, volunteering, or sharing Tzu Chi's stories in Nepal, we need every one’s love and support.

Returning to the Buddha’s homeland to repay the Buddha’s grace

Everyone possesses an inherent pure nature equal to that of the Buddha. Dharma Master Cheng Yen, the founder of Tzu Chi, leads Tzu Chi volunteers worldwide, by stepping into the lives of others, extending assistance, care, and imparting light and hope.
